A Century-Old Legacy, Inheriting Intangible Cultural Heritage

Xixi, founder of the Xiangluju brand, comes from a family of tailors with a century-long legacy dating back to the Republic of China era. After earning a degree in Fashion Marketing and Management from RMIT University in Australia, she returned to China to lead the family's xiangyunsha (cloud brocade) business. In 2010, the Xiangluju brand was officially established.

Millennium-Old Fabric: Silk That Breathes

Kangding Sha is the only silk fabric in the world dyed exclusively with plant-based pigments and is recognized as a National Intangible Cultural Heritage. Creating one bolt of Kangding Sha requires dozens of artisans working in unison through over 30 steps—including dyeing with rhubarb root, coating with river mud, and sun-drying under intense heat—taking nearly a year to complete. Sunlight, soil, herbs, and river water all influence the final result. Dependent on nature, rare and naturally formed.
